Intern Introduction: Isabel Kitchin

Hi! My name is Isabel Kitchin, and I will be a Spring 2026 intern. I am super excited to get started and learn more about nonprofit work. I am studying social work at Western, and I am graduating this may. I chose social work because everyone needs a helping hand at some point in their lives, and I would like to be that. I really like Circles of Jackson County because they embody that while promoting self-sufficiency. I am super grateful for this opportunity to experience social work in the field.

Aside from this internship I also work at White Moon in downtown Sylva as a barista. When I am not working or in school, I like nature and doing things outdoors. I like listening to music, spending time with friends, and rewatching my favorite shows. My favorite season is summer; I love it when it is warm outside.
