About Us

Who We Are

We are a collection of community leaders, students, volunteers, locals to Jackson County, and folks dedicated to eliminating poverty.

Our clients, known as Circle Leaders, and their supporters, known as Circle Allies, define who we are as a nonprofit. Leaders who are ready to overcome poverty and allies who help along the way achieve both short- and long-term self-sustainability with their intentional friendship.

What We Do

Circles provides Jackson County residents who are escaping poverty a support group of fellow and past Leaders, committed Allies, and better access to community resources.

Leaders are better prepared for life and take the next steps outside what we can provide. A relationship with Circles continues beyond completing our program.

How We Do It

We revolve around an initial 12 week program that focuses on educating our Leaders on financial literacy, healthcare access, local resources, and other specialized modules. After graduating from this program, Leaders are matched with their Allies, who form a supportive relationship to navigate life and achieve specific goals within 18 months.

“Circles has opened up doors I never thought possible.”

– Rachel Byrd, Client Services Coordinator
