2025 Poverty Simulation

After months of collaborating with Western Carolina University’s Parks and Recreation Management Program, we are excited to announce that a Poverty Simulation will be held on November 15th. Additional details for the time and location may be found here.

A poverty simulation is an immersive experience that showcases the daily challenges low-income families face. Created by the Missouri Community Action Network, the simulation involves participants who navigate a series of real-world issues that many of their community members face. Circles experimented with the poverty simulation last semester, and we are preparing the final stages of recruiting volunteers and participants for the event. You may sign up to volunteer or to attend as a participant on the Poverty Simulation webpage.
