Just a Reframe

As we enter the month of December, we welcome many transitions into our lives. The end of 2025 is approaching. Our interns are closing up on their time with us as they graduate and prepare to enter a new semester. We all are shifting into newer, smarter, and stronger individuals than we were the previous year. We even have shifted into a new mindset and may not have fully realized that. Change is inevitable.

Here at Circles, we support and embrace these changes. One of our interns shared some highlights on how we can enter into these mental shifts, especially shifting our mindsets when it comes to our finances.

When we have negative thoughts about money, explore where these thoughts are coming from. Did our parents experience hardship growing up or is this our own experience?

Educate oneself about finances. Knowledge is powerful. Circle’s supports a financial literacy curriculum that teaches the skills to be self sufficient. As we put these skills into practice, we develop confidence in our ability to make financial decisions.

Practice gratitude. Studies have shown that gratitude rewires the brain. It trains our brains to notice the things that we choose to focus our attention on. When you notice the big wins to small accomplishments, you notice the opportunities that are related.

Finally, surround yourself with people who support your journey to change. Gaining the support weekly through our Tuesday night groups with ongoing development is one way to find this support. Connecting to resources in our community that enriches us or helps us through times of need. Circles also provides Allie’s for our Circle Leaders as the shift into the practical application of our program.

As we enter this holiday season, the signs of change are evident. Circles is here to support you in this transition into a new year and new and improved you.
