Adapting our Online Presence
Now more than ever, more people rely on the internet as their primary form of communication.
From simple blog posts to complex technical documentation, billions of users around the world use the internet to learn, discuss, and change. These vast audiences are driven by a desire to engage with the digital realm, a desire that grows ever stronger with the principles of interactive design.
No matter who you ask, the internet provides nonprofits such as ours the chance to obtain a greater influence through thoughtful discussion, informative outreach, appealing design, fruitful services, and a solid reputation that extends beyond our community. We must make efforts to strengthen our online presence with a restructuring and redesign of the entire website. This may include, further into the future, integrating our services to another web platform; however, we will stay with Squarespace to provide essential information to our many ordinary users.
However, there are no truly ordinary users. Some interact with the website to learn about volunteer and internship opportunities, others for client services or community connections. Some users may seek contact information or have general questions, which can be solved by contacting our email. Each person who engages with our organization has their own purpose, reasoning, intentions, and emotions towards our cause. Despite these differences, we share common ground in the belief that we must improve and adapt our presence to include new partners, volunteers, leaders, and allies.
We encourage our online users to take this survey and provide valuable feedback to the growth of our website. After this short survey, we will further research and adapt the needs of our growing user base.
